Arts & Crafts

The boys came home from MDO with some pretty cool arts & crafts today. Nicholas made a dinosaur egg, pteradactle (sp?), and dinosaur bone. The teachers had to remind everyone as they walked out not to eat the bone. LOL! Jake made a pillow case with all his friends handprints on it and a picture of the whole class making silly faces. Jake is the fourth silly willy on the bottom row.

IHOP

I met a few friends at the new IHOP in Garland today. It was nice to sit and talk with friends and have a yummy breakfast. I got to meet a new mommy today. Her name is Hani. She is really sweet. I really needed this little outing. It has been about a month since I've seen anyone with all the sickness going on around here. Nicholas was sad to go to school today. He wanted to stay home because he stayed home yesterday because he had fever (no fever today) but, he said he wanted to go to his first soccer practice tonight. I said if you don't go to school then you can't go to soccer practice plus there was no way I was going to miss my last day of freedom. I will have both boys home tomorrow. We'll have to find something fun to do!

Preschool Registration

Well, today was the day I got to stand in line for close to an hour and register Jake for preschool. The line was long but, at least I wasn't at the very end! Jake stood by me the whole time and was a sweet boy. He just stood there and I just kept patting his head while he leaned against me waiting. Everything was in order and now he is set to go to the four day four's next year! Yay! All of my kids have gone to Wesleyan Christian Academy in Rowlett for years. Hayley started in the 4 day 4's on down to Jake. I will only have him on Fridays when school starts again. Nicholas starts kindergarten. What am I going to do with all of my free time? hmm...Any ideas? I am going to need a hobby! Something to keep me busy while I wait for them to get out of school.

A Couple Of Sick Girls

Hayley and Madison both have colds. I took Madison to the doctor on Friday and he said that's what it was and didn't give her any antibiotic and said that over the counter stuff would work. She has had a fever since Thursday and Hayley too. Madison's is higher the highest being 102. We were going to all go to church this morning except they were still feeling sickly and Hayley had a soccer game and said she couldn't play unless she went to church and she ended up going but, she got hot and fainted when she was kneeling on the kneeler. Howard took her to a back room and a nurse in church came and checked her out. She woke up and looked dazed like she didn't know what had happened. This is the first time she's ever fainted. I on the other hand am a pro. hehe! After they get home from church she asked "Are we still going to my game?" Silly girl. I don't think so! Madison is acting all weak and says her legs hurt when she walks. It's probably because she won't eat anything, and she lays on the couch all day and she refused to take her medicine. She is very stubborn and likes to get her way. So....they will probably stay home from school tomorrow from the looks of things.

On another note: I went to church at 10:30 and went to my friends house to visit and let the boys play with their friend's Brandon and Julia for a while at 12:00 and I talked for a while with my friend Karen. Around 3:00 I went to a friend's little boys birhday party and it was fun. They had games for the kids like musical chairs and pin the tail on Pablo (backyardagins) and there were snacks and cake! I love cake a little too much and ice cream that I helped serve and he opened presents and it was nice chatting with everyone and meeting a new mommy. That's always fun!

When we got home dh had dinner waiting. He made us homemade tacos! What a guy! mmm!

Date Night!

Howard and I went out last night and my mom watched the kids. We went to Siciliano's (A Taste Of Italy) and I had the baked ziti and he had spaghetti marinara. I love their rolls they come with the meal. mmmm! After dinner we went to see "Definately, Maybe." It was so good! You have to see it! It will definately leave you guessing who until the very end and the little girl, Abigail Breslin just makes the movie. After that we decided to go to Marble Slab Creamery and we couldn't eat it all so we took it back to my mom's and let the kids have the rest.

My mom and step-dad were brave and took the kids to TGI Fridays to eat. They said it took an hour to get their food but, everyone was pretty good and everyone ate their spaghetti except Madison because she didn't feel well. I took her to the doctor yesterday and she just has a cold. After they ate dinner they took them to Mc Donald's for a while and let them run around.

When we got back to the house Jake was asleep and the rest fell asleep on the way home. It was a nice evening.

My Sweet Valentine

When I came home from a playdate today, I found these sitting on my porch. Big fat juicy chocolate covered strawberries. mmm! I love strawberries! My Valentine's Day gift from the hubby. Isn't he just the sweetest?! I usually get flowers and a card on the way home from work. I love surprises!

Hey! Look What I Did!

I ran out of cascade so I had a great idea! I would use just a teeny tiny squirt of dishwashing liquid.

No one ever accused me of being the brightest crayon in the box.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

BUBBLES!......................BUBBLES!.........................EVERYWHERE!
