Kids In The Kitchen Playdate

I had a "Kids In The Kitchen" playdate at my house yesterday and it was so much fun! I bought bisquits, pizza sauce, and cheese and everyone else brought the toppings. I remembered making these as a kid and decided to make it into a playdate. The kids had fun squishing the dough out and putting it all together. It was a little harder then I expected. The dough kept sticking and then someone had the bright idea to use flour. Duh! It got much easier after that. All the moms were great and helped me out with the pizzas and cleaning after. I love these ladies! I am so in love with this new group I'm in. (Rockin' Rockwall Mom's) from Meet-Up.com. Everyone is so wonderful! I will add pictures later.

Oh! I joined a book club. Hard to believe I know. I only read magazines but I thought I would try and broaden my horizons. hehe! We are reading Sundays at Tiffany's by James Patterson. I'll let cha know how it is when I'm finished. I've only read chapter one. So far so good! The book before that was The Time Traveler's Wife and I listened to the discussion and it sounds great and they are making a movie out of it. Should be really cool!

The kids had swim lessons last week and this week and are doing really well.

Dh and I went to see Mama Mia. I thought it was corny but cute. I would see it again. Maybe that's just me but it was really funny in parts. hehe! Just close your ears when it's Pierce Brosnan's time to sing. He sure is good to look at though. mmm! mmm!

Our Hair Color By The Fabulous Linz

Today we went to my friend Jamie's house to watch Jamie and her girls get their hair colored and we ended up doing ours too. We were a little reluctant, especially Hayley but she finally gave in. Thank you so much Lindsay for doing our hair today. I know you didn't plan on it but, we really love it and love you. Hayley is jealous of Madison's hair because it's darker and she wants more pink. She wanted me to ask if you could make it darker. LOL! The girls are modeling their new pettiskirts also but, I still need to go and find them shirts to match. hehe! After the hair coloring session Jamie and I decided to take the kids to Mc'Donald's for lunch and let the kids play. It was so much fun!

Cookie Decorating Playdate

We had so much fun today! I hosted a cookie decorating playdate at my house and the kids had a blast icing the cookies and putting sprinkles on top. Everyone but one mom backed out, probably because of the 4th of July holiday. It started at 10:00 and ended at 2:00! Whoo Hoo! The mom & I just sat around and talked and the kids played with toys and went in the backyard and ran wild! I'm thinking of hosting another playdate with a brunch theme and make donuts and let the kids ice them and put sprinkles. I have lots of frosting left over and sprinkles!

Lots Of Fun Happenings

Friday night I went out for my mommy date night with Jeanna with DFW Area Moms and we went to go see "Get Smart". It was pretty funny. We talked and got to know each other and went back to her house for a glass of wine. It was really nice.

Saturday we went to church and then to the grocery store. I picked up 4 canvas' at Michaels for a paint playdate at my friend Amy's house. She is having us over on Tuesday. We mostly just hung around the house.

Sunday we went to my friend Laura's little boy Ashton's 4th birthday party at Nickelrama in Garland and the boys had a great time playing all the games and getting tickets for a 2 cent toy. LOL! It was great to see everyone. I went with some friends in my meet-up group and we went to Snuffers for dinner and to go see "Sex And The City". They should have rated this one an X! LOL. It was great! A little funny and a little sad with a happy ending. The perfect chick flick.

Today me and Lindsay went to Lady of America at 8:30 to work out and then it was off to the park. We went to Loftland Park in Rockwall. I had never been there before. It has a pretty neat play area. It was already HOT so we didn't stay long. One of the moms brought a birthday cake for her little boy made by another mom. It was so cute. A farm cake and there was a lot of detail on the animals. Way cool.

Last week my grandmother bought the kids an octopus sprinkler toy and here are a few pics. from the backyard.

Sprayground & Playdate

I took the boys to the Harry Myers Sprayground in Rockwall on Tuesday and let them run around while the mom's watched and chatted. We all had a great time. Today I hosted a playdate at my house and everyone had a blast getting to know one another and the kids made some new friends!

Lazy Days

This weekend was pretty relaxing. We didn't do much of anything. Howard took a day off Friday which was nice. I went to the grocery store on Saturday and Sunday Howard cleaned out the garage and I took some stuff to Goodwill. Later that evening we went to my friend Laura's house for her son Jacob's graduation party. There was lots and lots of pizza, salad, soft drinks and a huge cake! YUM! We had a nice time sitting around and chatting with everyone. It was fun.
