Ice & Snow Baby!

It has been a week of being weathered indoors... Monday night we were hit with rain & quite a bit of sleet and the temperature never got above freezing. School was canceled 4 days in a row and I'm going a little stir crazy! I can't get out of my driveway! See those cars behind us in the picture. Yeah...I would have surely hit them if I even attempted to leave. I don't trust myself driving on ice! Luckily I went to the store and stocked up on groceries, firewood, hot chocolate & teeny tiny marshmallows before the big freeze hit. :) The kids have been keeping themselves occupied by playing Super Mario Bros. on Wii, watching movies & playing games and of course they had to go out and slide around on the ice like ice skaters. Hehe! Last night (Thurs.) it snowed and what was suppose to be 1 to 2 inches of snow turned out to be 6 inches of snow. We woke up to a winter wonderland! Everything covered in a blanket of beautiful snow. Today the kids and Daddy went out and he pulled them around on a big plastic lid from the toy box and they had so much fun! :)
