Happy Halloween!

I hope you all have a great time trick or treating tonight. When dh gets home we are going to go to a friends house and visit for a while and head out for the loot! I can't wait! I think I'm more excited than the kids. I will post pictures of kids all dressed up and with all of their candy tomorrow.

Family Halloween Playdate

Saturday night we went to our friend Laura's house for a family Halloween playdate. It was so much fun! The decorations were spectaculuar, the food was wonderfully abundant and extremely tasty, and the kids had a blast playing with all the other kids. I may have been sitting there like a lump because I was so tired from another playdate that same day but, I really had a great time. I just kept yawning. Everyone probably thought I was bored but, I was just so worn out! Here are some pictures....

Halloween Playdate

Today we went to my friend Jamie's house from the DFW Area board. It was so much fun; the food was wonderful, and it was really great to see everyone. We visited for a while and let the kids play and then we went out in the backyard to go trick or treating. We have another Halloween party to go to tonight. The boys are going to be sooo tired! hehe! Here a "few" pictures of our day. Enjoy!

A Nice Day

Today I didn't have any children so, I decided to go and see my mom. We sat around and talked for a while and then we went to the old Walmart in Garland to get some things. She needed some clothes and I needed stuff for a Halloween party tomorrow: goody bags, candy, stuff to make pigs in a blanket and I got a shirt for Nicholas to wear with his costume. My grandmother's house was pretty cool and she had some people over trying to fix her heater. We we came home we watched Soaps together and in between doing that my mom drug out some clothes from the dryer and threw them on top of me and it felt good. Nice and toasty! hehe! I had a really nice tiem with my mom today. I don't see her nearly enough. She makes me laugh.

Busy, Busy, Party, Party!

This past weekend was full of exciting stuff. We had 3 soccer games on Saturday, the last one being at 1:00 p.m. After the games we went to the DFW Area Mom's Anniversary picnic and got there around 3:00 p.m. It started at 2:00 p.m. We had a nice time. There was a lot of yummy stuff to eat and the kids had fun playing with the other kids. When it was time to leave, they didn't want to go home.

On Sunday, we went to my friend Rena's house for a Halloween party with lots of goodies. The kids had fun jumping on the trampoline and running around and trick or treating. When we came home the hubby was cooking pork chops on the grill. That was a nice surprise! That night we watched Desperate Housewives and it was so funny! It was about "crabs". hahaha! The way Gabby was seducing Victor...hahaha! Hilarious!

Today has been pretty boring...I went to Target to get some black sparkle shoes for the girls. They are going to be witches for Halloween. Hayley (black and orange) and Madison (Purple and Orange). Nicholas is going to be a cowboy riding a horse and Jake is going to be Spiderman. I wish those Pettiskirts would come in, but that's okay. I have the back up plan. After Target, I went to walk on the treadmill for 30 minutes, came home, ate lunch, and now I'm watching Soaps and waiting to go pick up the boys from MDO. I have got to find something for me to do on the days they are all gone.

This And That

Yesterday I did a little of this and a little of that. I went to MOPS for some great food, wonderful conversation, and decorated a nifty little journal. Everyone was using the paper cutter and I just had to be different and just used the scissors. hehe! That's why I messed up on the back but, I won't show you that. "wink, wink."

After MOPS was over we were told to take as many straws and spoons that we wanted because someone (I forget who) had too many. So, I took quite a few because they were FREE! Anybody need any straws or spoons? Come and get um. They are yours.

I had a conference on Tuesday for Hayley and one yesterday (Thursday) for Madison. They both need to work on their reading and Madison needs to work on blending her words. After the conference I went to pick up the boys from school and just relaxed for a while.

Last night I had Keno. I won a smoke filled scarecrow. He's okay. Pretty cute but, smelled like smoke big time! I guess smokers are immune to the smell but, I'm not. Blech! Pooey!

Handpainted Picture Frames

These are the picture frames I made. The 2 pink ones are donations for someone on my DFW Area Mom's message board and the girrafe one is for someone who wants to buy one. I have one more donation one to make. It's a spraypainted muffin pan. I have just been so lazy and it takes me forever and a day to get things done.

The Dress

Here is the dress. I had to use another material because I messed up big time. After a lot of mistakes and heap of help. The finished product......

Monkey Cake

I made a cake today for someone on my DFW Area Mom's board. A banana nut monkey cake. I think he turned out pretty cute! Ooh, Ooh! Ah, Ah!

Hayley and Madison's Report Cards

Today Hayley and Madison brought home their report cards for the first six weeks. Their daddy and I are so proud of them. They had to call their Nanny and Grandma after dinner to tell them all about it.

Hayley's: A's and S's

Madison's: E's and S's

Sewing Project

Jake and I went to Hancock's today to pick out some fabric for a dress I'm going to try and make for the girls. It's bright and kind of funky so, I think they will like it. At least I hope so! Sewing is pretty new to me. I'm a beginner. Susie, a frend from my DFW Area Moms board is going to teach a few of us mom's the basics. I can't wait! It's going to be so much fun! Maybe I will finally learn how to thread the machine. Wee!

Our Fun Day

Today we went to a playdate at my friend Courtney's house. The kids had so much fun playing with their friends A.J. and Tyler. After the playdate me and the kids decided to go to the Garland library to do some fun arts and crafts. After arts and crafts we got McDonald's and took it home. They were playing really nice with each other today. It really did my heart good to see them get along so well. We had a fun day!
